Why do we need Phosphate Solubilizing Bacteria (PSB)?
Phosphate is a key nutrient required by
plants. It is a critical element in DNA and
in the ATP molecules of plant cells.
Unfortunately, phosphate is not found in
its free form in the soil. Even the
phosphate added as a fertilizer binds with
calcium present in soil and forms Tricalcium
Phosphate. This bound phosphate cannot
be used by plants.

phosphate in soil and make it available
for the plants.
PSBs present in Phosbac break the Tricalcium - Phosphate bond and release the locked phosphate.
Thus making it available back again to the plants.
Without these beneficial Phosphate Solubilizing Bacteria in Phosbac, plants just cannot use the nutrients in the soil.
These bacteria also help in solubilizing Zinc and Potassium in soil.
This also means that your requirement for fertilizers is reduced significantly. With PSB, the fertilizers will not remain locked in the soil and the plants will be able to use them.

How much Phosbac will I need?
1 Kg of Phosbac is sufficient for broadcasting in 1 acre land or for treating seeds to be planted in 1 acre. Amount may vary depending on seeds.

Will using Phosbac require any special preparation or equipment?
No. Phosbac does not need any special preparation method or setup. You can use it directly as powder, mix it in water and spray it in the farm, or dose it using drip irrigation.
Application of Phosbac
Seed TreatmentMix 100 g of Phosbac in 500 ml of water to make a slurry. Mix the seeds (for 1 acre) thoroughly with the slurry. Dry the seeds in shade for 1 hour. Sow the seeds within 24 hours after treatment.
Root Treatment
Mix 500 g of Phosbac in 50 liters of water. Dip the roots of the seedlings in the Phosbac mixture for 10 to 15 minutes. Plant the seedlings within 2 to 3 hours.
Direct Soil Application
Mix 1 Kg of Phosbac with 20 Kg of dried cow dung. Broadcast the mixture in one-acre field before transplanting.
